Eitan Turns One

Eitan turned one this year! We had planned a big, space-themed party, but we ended up with an intimate Zoom affair with only grandparents, aunts/uncles, and cousin in attendance. I vacillated on how far I should go with my original plan. I had a ton of decorations, plans for a plethora of space-themed food, and even an awesome galaxy-inspired cake on order. In the end, I decided to go ahead with the primary decoration and leave the rest for a future celebration. Good thing, because this little decoration took 4 hours to put up… plus another hour when it inevitably fell down days later. Fortunately, Papa was able to bake up some funfetti cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Nana even provided space-themed cupcake toppers! We had a great time, and Eitan certainly enjoyed his cupcake. We are excited to celebrate for real in a few months. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait until his next birthday. (I’m thinking a Little Blue Truck theme.)
